So I decided to get the bamboo tablet and Im running into the exact same problem I had with my last tablet. I dont understand how to draw and make it not look like crap, specifically line work. Shading and coloring arent really as much of an issue.
As some of you may know, either by looking at my pencil sketches or because you personally know me, I have a very sloppy style of drawing to compensate for jitters. Basically I end up having to do about 10-15 pen strokes to draw a line of any significant length. While I can make this work for me on paper, I dont understand how to translate it to digital equipment. Everything either looks thick and blotchy, or has tones of little furry lines running everywhere. When I go to try to erase them I end up with the same effect but inverted. Basically I cant seem to figure out how to get somewhat decent looking strokes.
Are most people doing their strokes in just one swipe? surely there are other people out there like me that have to finely whittle out their lines?
Im not looking to do really extremely detailed line work off the bat, but I really need some help and pointers as to what settings would be ideal for someone with my sketchy drawing style. (Using photoshop by the way). I dont want a 200 dollar investment to turn into a dust collector.
