This isn't necessarily a reason that I haven't drawn anything in a really long time, but it has effected me quite a bit both mentally and physically.

Back in February I wasn't feeling so hot so naturally I went to the doctor to have myself checked out. After several unsuccessful medications and diagnoses, they finally decided to have me CT scanned and sent to a specialist. Long story short, I have been diagnosed with cancer, Precursor T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia to be exact.

So what does this all mean for me? Well the bad news is that this cancer is very aggressive and has a low success for full remission without a bone marrow transplant. The transplant greatly increases the chance of a full remission but it also comes with a huge list of other risks, so it is also dangerous.

So basically Ive spent the last months half at home and half in the hospital getting chemotherapies. There is good news for me though, my body has responded better to the treatment than any other patient my doctor has treated for this so they have high hopes for my prognosis.

So now for the scary truth, I would say that worst case scenario I have about 10 - 20 years to live, however, if everything goes as planned I may also live a full normal life if I have a successful transplant. So you can probably see now how this would change me quite a bit. I'm definitely not the same person I was three months ago. I am not living in fear though, I am living with hope and a positive attitude which is one of my biggest changes. Before all this happened I was depressed most of the time and constantly worried about small to large things out of my control. Other than this being a life threatening situation for me, I actually think that its been a good experience provided I recover.
